Newcastle airport also provides extensive charter flight services for both freight and passengers to destinations all over the world.

A 16 acre Freight Village at the Airport is the base for three handling agents and 12 freight forwarding agents, providing comprehensive services to importers and exporters.

Airport Facilities include both short term and long term car parks. Short term car parks are located across the street from the terminal building. Long term parks are located past the far end of the short term car park. Long term car park prices are lower after a few days. Consult current prices to ensure the best price for your journey. Parking at Newcastle NCL can be booked online 48 hours in advance. NCL Airport offers unique drop off and pick up car parks. The car park is located immediately across from the terminal building. Parking at the pick up and drop off area allows for quick and easy drop off and pick up near the terminal building.

Further information on freight services is available from the Airport's Freight Manager on +44 (0)191 214 330, Tyne & Wear Metro operate directly from the airport terminal. Trains run from 5.45am to 11.05pm approximately every 10 to 12 minuites and the journey takes 20 minutes from the centre of Newcastle.

During the day there is a half hourly bus service between the Airport and Eldon Square in Newcastle City Centre, via bus numbers 75, 76, 77 and 79. There is also an hourly service from Blyth in Northumberland - bus number 101 -and a less frequent service from the Metro Centre in Gateshead - bus number 102.
